It is situated at 1,000-1,400 feet and is quite steep in areas. Composed of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, the 2018 Les Pavots is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. It needs a fair bit of coaxing to unlock the intense scents of blackcurrant preserves, ripe black plums and boysenberries with touches of wild sage, tobacco leaf and pencil shavings. The full-bodied palate is densely packed and tightly wound with loads of black fruits, dried herbs and earthy layers, supported by firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and energetic. 3,255 cases were made.(February 2021 Week 1, The Wine Advocate, 5th Feb 2021) ¥½¥Î¥Þ¥ï¥¤¥ó¤ÎĺÅÀ¤Î°ì³Ñ ¥Ô¡¼¥¿¡¼ ¥Þ¥¤¥±¥ë Peter Michael °Û¿§¤Î·ÐÎò¤ò»ý¤Ä¥«¥ê¥¹¥ÞÀ¸»º¼ÔIT¼Â¶È²È¤È¤·¤Æ40ÂåȾ¤Ð¤ÇÀ®¸ù¤·¤¿¥Ô¡¼¥¿¡¼¥Þ¥¤¥±¥ë»á¤Ï¡¢¥«¥ê¥Õ¥©¥ë¥Ë¥¢¤ËÄ̤¦¤¦¤Á¤Ë¡¢¥ï¥¤¥ó¤ÎÌ¥ÎϤˤȤê¤Ä¤«¤ì¤Þ¤·¤¿¡£¥ï¥¤¥ó¤¤ê¤ÎÌ´¤ò¤«¤Ê¤¨¤ë¤¿¤á¡¢¥Ê¥Ñ¤È¥½¥Î¥Þ¤òÁö¤ê²ó¤ê¡¢Åö»þ¤Ï¤À¤ì¤â¸«¸þ¤¤·¤Æ¤¤¤Ê¤«¤Ã¤¿¥½¥Î¥Þ¡¦¥«¥¦¥ó¥Æ¥£¤Î¥Ê¥¤¥Ä¥ô¥¡¥ì¡¼¤Î¸µËÒ¾ì¤ÎÅÚÃϤò¹ØÆþ¡£¥Ü¥ë¥É¡¼¡¦¥Ö¥ì¥ó¥É¤ÎÀ֥磻¥ó¤È¡¢¥Ö¥ë¥´¡¼¥Ë¥å¡¦¥¹¥¿¥¤¥ë¤Î¥·¥ã¥ë¥É¥Í¤òÀ¸»º¤·»Ï¤á¤Þ¤·¤¿¡£º£¤Þ¤µ¤ËÆþ²Ùº¤Æñ¤ò¶Ë¤á¤ë´õ¾¯¥ï¥¤¥ó¥Ô¡¼¥¿¡¼¡¦¥Þ¥¤¥±¥ë¤Ï¥«¥ë¥È¥ï¥¤¥ó¤Î¸µÁĤǤ¹¡£¥ï¥¤¥ó¡¦¥¹¥Ú¥¯¥Æ¡¼¥¿¡¼»ï¹±Îã¤Î2015ǯ¤Î¥È¥Ã¥×100¤Ç¤Ï¡¢¥«¥Ù¥ë¥Í¡¦¥½¡¼¥ô¥£¥Ë¥è¥ó¡¦¥ª¡¼¥¯¥ô¥£¥ë¡¦¥ª¡¼¡¦¥Ñ¥é¥Ç¥£2012¤¬¥È¥Ã¥×¤ËΩ¤Á¤Þ¤·¤¿¡£ÆüËܤؤÎÍ¢½Ð¤Ï¾¯Î̤ǡ¢º£¤â¥«¥ê¥Õ¥©¥ë¥Ë¥¢¥ï¥¤¥ó¤ÎĺÅÀ¤Î°ì³Ñ¤È¤·¤Æ¡¢¸÷¤êµ±¤¤¤Æ¤¤¤ë¸ºß¤Ç¤¹¡£ ¥Ô¡¼¥¿¡¼ ¥Þ¥¤¥±¥ë °ìÍ÷¤Ø

This is a distinctly mineral, precise style relative to the more outgoing 2009, but both are striking. Floral notes add lift as the finish turns explosive with a burst of dark fruit, tar, licorice and crushed rocks. This is one of the more understated wines readers are likely to come across from Sine Qua Non. It is gorgeous when given the time to open up. The B-20 is predominantly Syrah, with 6% Grenache and 2% Viognier. About half of the Grenache was fermented with whole clusters and the wine was aged in French oak (60% new) for 26 months. The vineyard sources are 52% Eleven Confessions, 18% Cumulus, 18% Bien Nacido and 12% White Hawk. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2023.(The Wine Advocate, Aug 31, 2011)

Full-bodied, velvety and somewhat open-knit on the palate, it turns plush and long on the finish, adding a touch of warmth. Production this year is approximately 17,000 cases, reflecting the increased volume coming from recently replanted vineyards. It's remarkable what a good job they continue to do with this bottling year after year, without compromising on quality.(The Wine Advocate, May 05, 2023)

It offers perfumed and spice-laced notes of white pepper, black raspberry, blackberry and ground herbs that flow to a full-bodied, elegant, nicely concentrated 2011 that has nicely integrated acidity, no hard edges and a terrific finish. It's certainly one of the fresher, more elegant Grenaches from Manfred, yet it still has rocking levels of fruit. The label says the alcohol is at 14.9%, but there is a freshness and elegance to the wine (80% Grenache, 18% Syrah and 2% Viognier) that would suggest much lower alcohols, for those who foolishly as well as erroneously equate finesse with lower alcohols. Structured, still deep ruby/purple-tinged, with fresh raspberry and black cherry fruit and some loamy soil notes, as well as hints of barbecue smoke and pepper, the wine is full-bodied, ripe, yet still somewhat tightly knit, suggesting that better things are yet to come. This obviously can be drunk now, but I wouldn¡Çt be surprised to see it improve over the next several years and last for at least another decade.(The Wine Advocate, Aug 31, 2011)

This shows gorgeous inner perfume and fabulous overall balance. The silkiest of tannins frame the long finish. If forced to choose, I have a slight preference for the 2008 among the Estate Grenaches, but both wines are beautiful. Dangerous Birds is 88% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 2% Viognier. A portion of the Grenache (36% of the total blend) was fermented with whole clusters. The wine spent 34 months in oak and was bottled in August 2010. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it slowly grows on the nose, revealing compelling notes of baked black cherries, mulberries, black raspberries, warm cassis and blackberry pie with nuances of spice cake, yeast extract, tapenade, licorice and dusty soil with a waft of wild sage. Medium-bodied, the palate has a lively skip in its step, featuring bags of juicy raspberry and cassis-laced fruit and a refreshing line, supported by ripe, plush tannins, finishing long and graceful.(The Wine Advocate, Nov 01, 2019)

An old black and white photograph of Manfred Krankl¡Çs father holding a baby with a head the size of a large watermelon (presumably Manfred) serves as the label for this wine, which has just about everything one could want in a great Syrah. Jus de viande, damp earth, black currant, and blackberry notes along with good minerality and an absence of oak are all present in this full-bodied Syrah. It still has some tannins to resolve, but it is a big, full-bodied, classic, promising debut effort from the Cumulus Vineyard. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. Backward, tight, concentrated and structured, with full-bodied richness and depth, it gives up Guigal La Landonne like aromas and flavors of graphite, sweet oak, smoked meats, pepper and black raspberry and cassis-like fruit.
